Alright, so I have created this lovely blog thingy for my year on exchange in Norway. I'm going to be living in a small town (about 10,000 people) called Sogne, which is outside of the larger city of Kristiansand (about 70,000-ish, I think. Maybe 90,000. I can't remember.). I'll be right on the coast, in what lots of people have been saying is the most beautiful place to go in the summer in Norway. It's the very southernmost tip of Norway, you can find a map here:

Just some references, eh? Anyhow, I'm about 2 1/2 months out from leaving--I'm supposed to arrive about August 13th. So far I have learned the colors and how to say "I don't speak Norwegian" (Jeg snakker ikke norsk!) in the language, so I'm not doing so well there. But I am planning to work pretty hard this summer and learn what I can. However, I have talked to my first host mother and my councilor. I also have exchanged some emails with Adina, who's family I will be staying with and who is coming HERE to Moscow while I'm gone! Everyone here be wonderful to her, okay!? Awesome. I've also talked with some girls who will be at the same school as me who I will get to meet when I go there.
So far, so good!! Just got to get some important stuff...gifts, a blazer (!!!), and all that jazz and I will be READY!
